217 - One Line Movie Blurbs Challenge
Dec. 27th, 2015 10:01 amI'd appreciate all y'all's help with this, because it's kind of difficult. I'm trying to come up with at least 54 different one-line movie descriptions that don't use any real terminology from the movie itself to tell you what the movie is, while still letting you know exactly what movie we're talking about.
GOOD EXAMPLE: "A soldier from the future is sent back in time to protect a young woman from a killer robot". That's the original TERMINATOR, right?
BAD EXAMPLE: "Luke Skywalker and Han Solo join The Rebellion and help destroy The Death Star" - That's using specific names, specific locations, specific plot points. The way this one should be written for my challenge would be "A farm boy, a smuggler and a Princess join forces to destroy a weapon of mass destruction before it's too late".
ALSO, I'm not looking for "clever" or "Humorous" lines. If I wanted those, I'd just use

I don't need jokes, I need straight lines.
This is harder than it sounds!
I hope to get ten movies from each of these categories: Sci-Fi, Horror, Comedy, Drama, Children.
And they need to be films that everyone has seen. Like, 100 Most Popular Films Of All Time levels of recognition.
