Friday Five

1) When you were little what was your favorite TV show? The Greatest American Hero. It was the first show I waqs allowed to stay up past 8 to watch, and it solidified my love of all things Superheroey!
2) What was your favorite movie? Star Wars, thanks to a relative who had a revolutionary new Betamax Video Camera and a friend who let him set up said Betmax Video Camera in the back of a theater. I watched that move 6 TIMES that weekend that he was here, making me a it of a celebrity amongst the other 6-year-olds in 1979!
3) What is your favorite TV show currently? Hmmmm... too many to choose from! I love Boston Legal, How I Met Your Mother, Everyboy Hates Chris, My Name Is Earl, The Office and Lost... but when all is said and done, the one I love the most is Gilmore Girls. It's consistantly smart and funny and it's the first show that khristle ever got addicted to. Gilmore is a Gateway Show that has lead to bigger and harder addictions down the line!
4) What is the best movie you have seen so far this year? I haven't seen any new movies this year :( However, on DVD we've been getting see lots of stuff, and my favorite has probably been Little Shop Of Horrors. Does that count?
5) If someone was going to make a movie or TV show about your life, who would play you and why? I would want to e played by Brendan Fraser, because then the movie would be nothing like me. 'Cuz it's not "Brendan Fraser as George of The Jungle", it's "Brendan Fraser as Brendan Fraser if he were George of The Jungle".

The guy from the old Levi 501 Button Fly commercial will be there! You remember the series of Levi commercials Spike Lee did back in the day? The "What do you do in your 501's" commercials? Rob Liefeld was the comic book artist in that commercial!

COSTUME CONTEST!!! Is there anything better than watching people in Spandex parade about for your amusement?

Meet Gabe and Tyco of Peny Arcade fame and hear them speak on the topic of Web Cartooning!

And of course there's always tons of great stuff to see and do at the convention. Ongoing tournaments of Magic: The Gathering, Mechwarrior, Hero Clix and Vs. spread out with fabulous prizes to be won!

My lunchbox today is a vintage 1980 Strawberry Shortcake tin lunchbox.

This either means:

(1) I am secure enough in my heterosexuality and masculinity that I feel I can use any lunchtime receptical regardless of the feminine connotations associated with it and just enjoy the wave of 80's nostalgia it generates for me

Or...

(2) My latent homosexual tendancies are becoming harder and harder to repress and 80's pop-culture icons are a perfectly logical "gateway" transgression for my closeted aspects to shine through with.

Of course, it *could just be option #3...

(3) I like 80's stuff and I refuse to grow up :)
