My girls came home on Thursday night! Both were very sleepy, Molly didn't even seem to recognize me :( But later that night (technically early Friday morning) Molly and I re-bonded while khristle slept. Molly has picked up new tricks and once she recognized me she was anxious to show them off!
Friday was a day for Sleeping. Lots of cuddling, lots of napping, very little consciousness. And my prize from Ohio? A nice little stack of records including this one: That's right... it's a POLKA DISCO ALBUM!!! Also in the stack were an extremely nice DisneyLand/DisneyWorld Soundtrack Album from 1980 and Christmas samplers of both Andy Williams AND The Carpenters. Joy :)
Saturday we sat around in our underwear watching the Season Finale of Doctor Who (BRILLIANT!) and various odds & ends till around 6pm when we drover up to my Parents house in Mount Vernon to spend the night. Had some eats, had some conversation, and I broached the subject of possibly moving to Ohio. This was tricky; I knew I had to manipulate my Mom in to thinking it was HER idea and not ours. And it werked! So IF Comcast ever opend a call center in Findlay Ohio, and IF I can transfer there, it's all a GO!
Sunday we had breakfast with my Dad (my very first Father's Day Breakfast), then it was off to a few thrift stores and a QUICK drop by the house before heading out to BURIEN where my Nieces were in a musical dance production of "The Wizard of Oz". I was greatfull that it was an all-ages ensamble and not just little kids, as some of those girls in multi-colored unitards were giving me a pretty major boner. khristle felt that she had to keep reminding me that most of those girls were still statutory, but DUDE! The Puberty Faerie had been *particularly* generous to a few of them 16-to-17-year-old girls! Had they not caused at least SOME rising o' The Wood, I think they would have had to have me declared legally dead or Gay!
While we were gone, The Meat Faerie stopped by our house! Oh Lord, waitaminit... that sounds even MORE WRONG than it was meant to sound thanks to the preceeding tale of "Dirty Old Man" syndrome :( But really, it's true! dotgirl and collisions stopped by our house and filled our freezer with two cows, a pig and four dogs worth of meat that they'll never get around to eating! Weight Watchers has been extremely good for them, and as for me? Well I'm more than happy to give it up for a month of going back on Atkins :)
Monday I got my Father's Day lunch - SUSHI!!! We decided to try the newly remodeled "Small World" buffet off of 196th in Lynnwood (By the Good Will). We used to go there many years ago when it was a pretty lame Chinese Buffet, ut now they've re-done themselves and are focusing on Asian Sea-Food and Sushi! They had about 20 varieties of Sushi being made fresh all day long and it was pretty darned fantastic! A bit pricier than Chef Chen or even Super China, but WOW WHAT A VARIETY!!! The rest of the food there, unfortunately, left much to be desired. But OH MY LORD THE SUSHI!!! Really, the Sushi makes it all worth the going :)
Now we are home again and I'll be going to work tomorrow, leaving my girls at home to fend for themselves. This was by far the best use of Vacation time i could ever dream of :)
