This is MOST unfortunate. Here it is rapidly becoming 1-inna-mornin', and I'm gonna need to be up at the crack of morn when Molly wakes up to take care of her. She went to bed at aout 7:30 this evening; [livejournal.com profile] khristle went to bed shortly after 9. I tried to sleep, I did! Laid there for a FULL HOUR wishing that The Sleepies would come and pee in my eyes to make me fall asleep (YOUR parents told you about The Sleepies coming to pee-pee in yoru eyes if you didn't go to sleep fast enough, right?), but no luck. So then I came out to load my MP3 player with fresh Podcasts for falling asleep to.

And checked my E-Mail.

And looked-up information aout our $20 Laptop computer.

And started burning another DVD of SCTV from the Library.

And replied to a bunch of LJ posts.

And looked at pictures of girls boobies on Teh Internets, 'cuz I'm a dude and I'm bored and I'm at The Computer with no wife and no baby to make such browsing uncomfortable.

And played the stupid, rotten, no-good, cheating and time-wasting BOWMASTER (more addictive than it looks).

And then updated my own LJ with a detailed list of everything I had done while I HSOULD have been sleeping.

Then I went to bed.

Thanks to the generosity of The Snohomish Public Library System, I am enjoying several volumes of SCTV from the early 80's. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, SCTV was the springboard to stardom for John Candy, Eugene levy, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short, Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis and a fistful of other comedy legends of the 80's. Despite the potential to come off as dated and stale material. this stuff is 100% comdy GOLD! Unlike episodes of Satrday Night Live from the same era, this show is non-stop GREAT comedy bits with an underlying storyline that ties it all together nicely to reward viewers who tuned in each week.

Molly LOVES the show. Her favorite bits so far sem to be Rick Moranis doing his "Merv Griffin" impression, and The Great White North with Bob & Doug McKenzie ! She loves them so much, she even stops playing with our blocks and sits MESMERIZED as soon as she hears Dave Thomas do his "Kooooooo Loo-Koo-Koo-Ku-Koo-Koo Koo Koooooo..."!

So proud of my Lil' Punkin'! She has such great taste in entertainment!

1) Stick to your goals and don't let ANYONE tell you that you can't open that Comic Book Store.

2) You know that nagging voice in your head that tells you you're probably wrong all the time? It's wrong; you're right.

3) Andy Ferguson and the crowd he hangs ith are NOT your friends; they're mocking you. Go take a dump in his locker.

4) Everyone was right - You *DO* start getting interested in Sex eventually, and you really ARE just a "Late Bloomer".

5) Stick with that job at McDonalds, even when you feel like quiting. The perfect moment will eventually come and you just won't be working there any more, but you'll have al those experiences!

6) Stay away from booze, smokes and dope. I know you already do that, but it really defines your adult life.

7) Take care of The Farm and never take it for granted. Some day it WILL be gone, too soon.

8) Listen to Todd Oakes. He is the Obi-Wan of Nerdosity who shall open doors for you that you have never even imagined.

9) If you're going to bag, never just bag... bag AND board. The boards help absorb a bit of that acid that slowly eats away at the paper. Otherwise you may as well leave the whole collection unbagged so it can breathe

10) Go talk to Matt. He's got this crazy Math teacher at Whitman College, says he's making a card game based on astract mathematics. Calls it "Magic: the Gathering"...
