Recently I received a response to my ponderous "Who would win in a fight - The Incredible Hulk or Godzilla" question. This person speculated that, since the Hulk gets exponentially stronger as he gets angrier, The Incredible Hulk would win.

See, that's the easy way out and was exactly what I first thought... but think about it:

Godzilla has proven time and time again to be completely unstoppable. Teams of other giant monsters, super mystical alien giant robots, death rays... the best anyone can hope to do to Godzilla is to trick her back in to the ocean for more sleep. The Hulk, similarly, can only be subdued or re-directed by the latest Stark Industries technology.

Both are like forces of nature that you can only try to weather the storm and hope you survive. It's like putting a Typhoon versus a Tsunami!

Only way I see this battle ending (as of this moment, and this could change at any moment) is with the Hulk pulling his patented "Why stupid (__Insert current foe here__) won't leave Hulk alone" before leaping off in to the New Mexico desert to fall asleep and transforming back in to Bruce Banner while Godzilla continues to eat as many cities as possible before she goes dormant again.

WINNER = The recovery contractors and disaster relief teams of Halliburton.

So that $30 bit of Collectorz.com Comic Book Database Software that I got for free a few days ago... been using it pretty much every night since I got it and I now have an opinion.

It is worth every penny I paid for it, and not a single cent more.

Like, as *freeware* it would be awesome. Doesn't seem to update very often (comics published 5 months ago by major publishers aren't in the database yet), adding unknown comics is doable but cumbersome (have to click away from the add screen to go to a different add screen and type all the info by hand), Alphabetization is annoying (Every title that starts with "The" is filed under "T" with no way to change it), no linking to price guide info... little things that are annoying but totally workable because it's free and has no subscription price. The other piece of Comic Collecting software I had been looking at is awesome and addresses every one of my complaints that i have with this software, but it's a subscription service that costs about $10 a month :(

Good stuff about the software I'm using now: Easy point-and-click interface, great use of thumbnail images, ability to customize as many fields as need be and it's FREE (normally $30).

It works, but I'm glad I didn't pay for it :)

We're going to be making sausage on Easter Sunday... Anybody want in on this? [livejournal.com profile] nani_ka, I'm lookin' at YOU.

Gonna need a lot of pork. We're making Bratwurst, Summer Sausage, Italian Sausage and some other stuff as well. Gotta contrast and compare prices of cheap pork... it'll either be WinCo or Cash & Carry.
