Mixed Emotion One-Shots
Sep. 3rd, 2014 06:04 pmSeveral single-sentence highlights today are giving me mixed emotions, too many/too much for sequential Facebook Posts or Tweets. All these things are "Yaaaaaaay, but ugh" things that deserved to be grouped together and experienced as a whole.
- The sweet old crazy lady down the street bought a single-player strategy game from us at our garage sale a few weeks ago, now she stops me EVER DAY to talk about how much she loves that game and it has lead her to buying other games from the same publisher and similar games from different publishers and could I suggest another game and oh that LAST game I suggested was just INCREDIBLE! Feels good that I've introduced somebody to gaming, but sometimes I just need to get home and use the bathroom.
- I am officially old enough that the children of friends I grew up with now look like my memories of those friends, and the friends themselves look a lot like my memories of their parents. That's awesome and all, but it means I really *am* getting old.
- For the first time in *forever*, my Mom has a really cool plan for her birthday instead of just staying home and taking care of other people! This unfortunately means we don't have a babysitter for Molly on our anniversary this year, but there will be other anniversaries.
- All of my creativity and ambition is back, which means I have entirely too many projects going on at once (again) and plans for even MORE projects that I won't have time to follow through on!
