Okay, another game idea but this one is pretty darned high-concept and might be taken the wrong way.
Players play as differing tribes or villages or whatnot on a secluded island, each focusing on a different type of society (Capitalist, Communist, Militant, Religious, etc) and they have a semi-random number of rounds to strike some sort of harmony on their island before "The Great White Savior" comes to "aid" them by imposing their Moral Cookie Cutter on them ("We're here to help! Our Soldiers will help you learn our one true Religion while teaching your merchants the one true way to run commerce!").
The two different ways to win the game are to either come together as a unified island, or to be the dominant tribe on the island once The Great White Savior has come to "rescue" you from your life of ignorance (because whoever's in charge gets to point out which other tribes might prove to be less-than-cooperative and need to be eliminated).
Everyone will get a random Village Card with a list of Pros and Cons for their society. EXAMPLE: This particular Capitalist Society's cons are that they will only buy things from non-capitalist societies, will not deal with Militant societies and they do not wear clothes. Their PROS are that their goods are worth twice as much to Religious societies, They get extra money every turn for "Tourism", and Militant societies may not attack them.
You may remove as many of your Cons as you wish, but for each con you remove you also have to remove a Pro.
The board is your standard Risk/Small World type map with a parcel of land divided in to areas that can either be taken over by force, diplomacy or financial means. Each parcel of land will produce resources that your society will need in order to survive and thrive.
There will be a deck of "Event Cards" that are drawn from each turn, causing various conditions that effect the game AND bring The Great White Savior closer to intervening for your own good. THREE of the cards will be marked "Great White Savior" - as soon as all three have been drawn from the deck, the game is over (unless you've ended it first be conquering or cooperating).
