Responsible? ME?!?!?!

captain_slinkyI won $20 worth of gift certificates at werk (for those of you who are Comcasters, it was that Q1 Click For Cash thingee on the Team Comcast website, somehow the screwed up and sent me two of the $10 certificates instead of just one)! I had to redeem them at GiftCertificates.com for "Select Retailers". I had choices! I could have chosen Movie Tickets! I could have chosen Barnes & Noble! I could have chosen Bucca Di Beppo! I could have chosen Suncoast Video! I could have chosen Blockbuster!
But in the end I chose to use the entire $20 on Payless Shoe Source. I chose the practical application of SHOES over any of the other frivillous persuits. I chose them because I knew that things are kinda tight and a free pair of shoes at some point down the line will be a nice convenience that we might not otherwise be able to afford.
I HATE being RESPONSIBLE! Leaves a bad taste in my mouth! BLEAGH!

Date: 2006-03-17 07:34 am (UTC)Besides, if you hit payless at the right time, you can take advantage of one of those buy-one-get-one things... which can be AWESEOME! if you work it right, between clearance prices & sales & crafty roaming, you could (conceivably) walk out with 4 pairs of shoes!!!!
