Bill Willingham will be in attendance at The Emerald City Comic Con! Best known these days for his stunning work on "Fables" and "Robin" for DC, the reason I'm looking ofrward to getting tot alk with him is for his ground-breaking 80's series "Elementals". ELEMENTALS ROCK! It was one of those "Alternative" titles of the 80's, a greta twist on traditional Super Hero comics. Lots of in-depth character development, and they addressed issuesof death, drugs, sex and other taboos LONG before any of the main-stream comics had the balls to do so! Bill Willingham is a GOD and I'm glad I'll have a chance to meet him :)

We watched the first hour of the new Doctor Who last night and let me tell ya, I am so very impressed! Modernized, but still the exact same Doctor Who that's been plagueing Sci Fi Fandom for what is it now, 50 years? They didn't change a darned thing and I love it!

And finally, today we will be going out and about taking Molly for visits to The Bank, Value Village, Grocery Food Outlet adn possibly someplace for Sushi (since I have 69 points to spend today WOOT!)

You'll have a hard time spending 29 points on sushi, let alone 69.

So is this the last day of your "week", before your weekly points reset?

Yup, tomorrow morning it resets to 35 more points!

And trust me, I'll have no problem using my points! The sushi is at an Oriental Buffet, so I'll also have me some fried rice, Wonton soup, Pad Thai and General Tso's Chicken! No idea how many points, so I'm keeping the rest of the day low; 2-point breskfast, 3-point lunch, then just letting it all go at Dinner.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

And let's not forget about Bill Willingham's Ironwood.

Oh HELLS yeah! Perhaps the finest non-Pini bit of Fantasy ever created! But it was Elementals that really drew me in to the world of non-mainstream comics back in the day, so that's what I always remember first :)

I told you the new Dr. Who was cool. Gin and I DVR it. Although you have me beat on knowing the old episodes. I'm still a Dr. Who newbie.

EVERYONE is a Dr. Who Noob unless you've been around and watching it since 1959. The rest of us are still playing catch-up :)

Elementals was cool, I have some of those! Now if I had access to my comic stash and they weren't in storage...

Oh, hey, speaking of your Comics Stash! Too bad you can;t get me some of it before the convention, because the CGC is gonna e there and they always have some sort of slabbing special going on. Plus you get to save money on shipping! I'd take a few of your better books and get them slabbed for investment reasons :)
