Dear LORD that smells good!
Apr. 6th, 2006 04:27 pmBefore leaving for work this afternoon, I started cooking dinner for my Schmoopie and the Schmoopie-in-Law. Since Mother Caldwell is still doing Atkins (and doing a great job of it I might add), I was able to try out a recipe that had been floating around in my head for a few months now. Here's what it had, and I hope it comes out all tasty!
3 Lbs. Boneless Pork Ribs
1/2 Cup diced onion
4 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 Tsp olive oil
1/4-cup chilli powder
1/4-cup white wine
1/4-cup DiVinci Sugar-Free Simple Syrup
3 Tbsp vinnegar.
Sauteed the onions and garlic in the olive oil, then added the chilli powder. Then I tossed in the vinegar and the simple syrup to deglaze the pan, and it made a nice syrupy coating for the meat. I rolled the meat around in the sauce to get it nice and coated, then added the wine. Covered the pan and stuck it in the oven to cook for 2 to 3 hours (the meat was still frozen, btw).
Gotta look up the point values of Pork, see if I can take the other pound I have thawing and maybe grill it up tomorrow night?
