Can I really afford another Obsession?
May. 6th, 2007 11:08 pmIf you have Comcast Digital Cable and you have the On-Demand, do yourself a favor:
Go in to the "Cutting Edge" category"
In there, go to the "Something Weird" category.
From there clik on "Trailer Trash"
And finally, select "Fractured Fairytales".
You will be rewarded with about 15 minutes of the most bizzare movie trailers from the 1960's that you've ever sen, all compliments of one K. Gordon Murray. This man... I... i don't know if he is to be praised or to be burried. He was the KING of cheap, psychadelic Kiddie Matinee movies such as Little Red Riding Hood And The Monsters. Now just let that title sink in for a few moments, okay? Little Red Riding Hood And THE MONSTERS. Imagine everything that you think a movie like that could possily be... got it in your head? Good. Now take your image of this film, produce it for about $50 in Mexico, then (poorly) dub it in English.
Yes, it's THAT GOOD!

Date: 2007-05-07 09:16 am (UTC)First of all, you have to realize that The FCC isn't going to let you keep your non-digital cale for very long. By 2008 we're supposed to have 100% Digital Conversion or we start geting fines from The Government. So one way or another, you're GONNA get a cable box of some sort.
I know this sounds corny, but "If You Act Now, Here's What You'll Get!" I can *mail you* a Cable Box for free (just hook it up to your TV nd call us to activate it, no need to wait around for a technician), and you'll get all the channels from 2 to 100 (about 75 channels in all?) plus about 3/4 of the On-Demand content for $33 a month. That $33 a month lasts for your first 6 months of Digital service, then it goes up to $45 a month unless you choose to downgrade back to the "package" that you have right now.
Or if you want ALL the On-Demand Content and all the channels that aren't a Movie Channel (like HBO, Showtime, etc... you'd be geting somewhere around 150 channels), you can pay $48 a monh for your first 6 months and $60 a month after that.
Any further questions?

Date: 2007-05-07 10:54 am (UTC)They just changed it when I told them I wanted to drop everything except Basic. They told me I could keep the box and the ALL the on-demand services. Couldn't pass up the deal.
