Gonna be a LONG day
May. 30th, 2007 10:04 amMolly had EXTREME trouble falling asleep (insert guitar riffs and clips of folks on Snow Boards, BMX Bikes, Roller Blades and Skete Boards followed by Tony Hawk 360-triple-ollie-deadfish-tailflip-Skid up to the camera so he can say "Buy my Video Games, Shoes, Posters and other fine products... TO THE EXTREEEEEME!"), and she WOULD NOT let me leave the bed at 5 this morning to go make Breakfast and Lunch for
khristle :( This morning I see that she must have gotten off just fine though, looks liek she made herself leftover Swedish Meatballs for breakfast and a low-carb Chilli Dog for lunch. Hope it sticks with her! I also hope she remembered to take my Unemployment Paperwork to get faxed!
So at 8:30 this morning when Molly SHOULD have been waking up proper she was instead lying there in the crook of my arm like some inoperable cycst waiting to be diagnosed. So I let her sleep till 9 before waking her up. In exchange I think I'm going to try and avoid her nap today unless she's ready to do it at or before noon.
Beiung the Stay-At-Home Dad (SAHD) is a lot harder than I had ever thought, but it's also so much BETTER than any other job I could ever wish for!
khristle used to thank me every few days for dealing with my craptastic job so she could stay at home with Molly and now I know EXACTLY how much she really meant it! And I mean it just as much now when I say it to her. I know first-hand how difficult it is to leave every day, and I'm so sorry that SHE has to do that now instead of me :(

Date: 2007-05-31 11:52 am (UTC)You do need to enjoy what you can. You will be seeing moments with your family that you would have missed and as a parent (to a human baby) I imagine it's like you have to take turns being the one to see that stuff.
