That is so made by someone who doesn't own a cat. A REAL cat would walk up the entire length of your body, come to a stop around your ribs or shoulder (whatever was at the highest point) and proceed to purr & knead at that body part until you reached a hand up to pet him... then if you didn't get up & feed the cat IMMEDIATELY at that point he'd proceed to do the kneading thing on your head... with claws if the cat deems necessary.

They don't bloody roll over for tummy scritches when they want food. They do that when they're trying to trick you into giving them your hand so they can maul it.
