captain_slinkyThis is a link to an excellent (short) article from the lady who wrote the VERY pro-McCain book "Citizen McCain" that explains EXACTLY how John McCain "Lost" her.
See, up till about 1998/99 I was a Republican. Voted for Dole, voted for Bush, listened to and recorded episodes of the Rush Limbaugh Radio program, total "Ditto head" like my Brother and my Cousin. But right around '99 Rush got caught in some pretty bold-faced lies and misinformation... and he never acknowledged it. That was my "I'm pretty sure that's fuckinbullshit right there" moment (as Patton Oswalt would say), and i started checking stuff before I blindly accepted it. I decided from that moment on that I would support whichever politician was caught in the least amount of lies and Douchebaggery, regardless of what political party they were a part of.
For the most part, the folks with the least amount of Douchebaggery are The Democrats. That's not saying that The Dems are without their Douches... no no no! But as a whole, they are the least Douchey (imho). However, back in '99 there was *one man* who stood out above the rest...

DEAR LORD how I loved John McCain! He was everything I wanted in a leader!
So how did I go from a McCain Fanboy to the betrayed and bitter man that I am today?
