Come December, they're raising the rent on our apartment by $70 per month! They have officially priced themselves out of our price range, and in to the range where we could afford to rent a HOUSE instead of an apartment!

And so we are looking. Anybody got connections in the greater Lynnwood/Bothell/Woodinville/Kirkland area? Juanita? Heck, Everett or Snohomish???

Found a few really cute places on Craigslist for under $900 a month (SAVING MONEY!), but we've got terrible credit. Great Renters History complete with excellent references (NEVER LATE)!

Found one place that looked kinda nifty, but they want a $100 non-refundable "Applications Fee" per adult, PLUS another non-refundable $40 per adult for the Credit Check! $280 just for them to tell us NO!

OH OH OH ! I've got a lead for YOU!

...if you don't mind I-5 in your backyard, that is.

So... the house across the street JUST got a "for rent" sign put in front of it. Like, after you wrote this, even. I think it was meant to be.

Here's what I know about it:
There seems to be a backyard, however I-5 is on the other side of the barrier in the backyard (which, IMO, is REALLY COOL!!!!@#!, but I know I'm weird about that sort of thing. I also LOVED living right in the flight path of Paine Field...).
The first year we lived here, there was NOBODY EVER in the house. It was weird. Our landlord said something about the guy that owns it always travelling. Well, in the last 4 months or so, people have been over there doing work on the house almost every day. It LOOKS like they added on an addition in the back of it, which is a good thing because according to the Sno County Assessor records, the house WAS only 555 square feet. (ahem.... I like to look at all my neighbours houses on there, ssssh...). I can't tell how big the addition is, I could just see that something was going up back there.

Anyhoo, people are out there right now so you could probably drive by and talk to somebody about it if you want to. Consider the proximity to I-5, and the house's worth, among other things, I can't imagine that rent is all that much. And you wouldn't have to move very far. I'll go see if they happened to put anything up on Craigslist...

k, nevermind about them being over there. However, I did go look at the sign, which just had a phone number on it: 619.961.8766.
No Craigslist posting that I could find.
