Just when i thought I was done with trying to be all "Fair And Balanced" in favor of going entirely Hippie-Leftist, stuff happens that makes me have to be a voice of reason :(

CURSE YOU, TOM DeLAY!!!!

Lots of sources today are accusing Tom DeLay of "basically" saying that Sotomayor was given her position because she's a Mexican chicka.

I would usually leave such broad, unresearched accusations to my Right-Wing friends... but this is coming to me from THE LEFT!

Now don't get me wrong... I hate Mr. DeLay and would love to force him in to smoking a bong full of medicinal marijuana while performing a State-approved abortion. But I've read it and re-read it over and over again and find nothing wrong with what he was saying here:

Really, it seems to me that all he's saying is "Everybody needs to look BEYOND the whole Race/Gender thing and be sure that this IS somebody that we want on the Supreme Court".

That... that's *reasonable*. I can't say I disagree with that!

That would indeed be awesome! But even if we're talking about free airfare, admission to the parks and hotel stay, we can't afford a trip to Disneyland till Molly's birthday at the absolute earliest :(

Now, what *I* would like to discuss with you is arranging a TRADE. From Seattle, Continental has direct flights to Houston! You don't have Texas crossed-off your list of STates yet, do ya? I think they also fly in to New Jersey...
