Costume Update

The Home-Made "Fanboy" Superhero costume is OH-DUBBYA-TEE OUT! Just wore a rough draft of it to Crystal's work and NOBODY got it at all. Comments started with "And are you dressed up as something" and ranged from "So you're a guy who wears a T-Shirt and sweats" to just disaproving looks of "You could have at least bothered to put on some real pants if you knew you were going out in public today".

And since the WoTC Employee costume is *extremely* niche, it looks like I'll have to go with the Star Trek uniform... again...

NEXT year, though... NEXT year I'll have my Mad Scientist/Steampunk costume!

Mad scientist is pretty easy. I just picked up a lab coat, goggles, some ivy, and a little green craft foam and I made a mad botanist costume. The ivy is growing all around the lab coat and there's a little Audrey type toothy, leafy green creature sticking up from the shoulder. Add a couple of beakers or test tubes and there's a costume! Or get a lab coat and burn some of it and rub black makeup all over your face and hands (leaving a clean area where your goggles would have been) and it'll look like you had some lab accident. Lots of available ideas and they're easy to implement.
