I *will* make time to go to The Comic Stop in Lynnwood on Wednesday - 50% off EVERYTHING. No limitations. No exceptions. Just go in in Wednesday, buy ANYTHING and it's half-price.

No idea what I should buy... thinking of buying a few games, maybe a few shirts, a bunch of comic books... NEED TO DECIDE WHAT MY LIMIT WILL BE!!! Need t check the old PayPal account!

Buh... 50% off? Are they going out of business? I'm tempted, since I work nearby. Open until 8pm...hmmm.

It's a special deal... even though other businesses struggled this year, they had their most profitable year ever! And since there are no new comics this week they decided to have a KICK-ASS sale as a special Thank-You to us customers :)

Well, I wish I'd known they were nearby. It's not easy to get to my old comic stores after changing jobs, so it's good to know there's a decent store nearby. Then again, I'm not sure what traffic will be like, so it might not be as convenient as it looks.

Fear not! Start following them on Twitter - they're going to reveal a super-secret password some time today so that you can start getting the 50% off tonight starting at 6pm! You could swing by tonight with the password, and if the traffic proves to be too heavy then you can maybe give it a try tomorrow night instead. All you can do is try, right?

Boo LJ for not sending me an email about this reply in time to take advantage of it. :(

But yay for having time to make tasty, tasty soup.

That is an excellent way to clear out old merchandise so they have room for more awesome stuff in 2010. The other cool thing for them is that people are likely to pick up books they might not normally and then become hooked, increasing their revenue in the coming year.

Pretty smart way to do business. :D

I know, right? When I have my own shop again, that's how I plan on ending every year :)

The nifty sale also saves the store a lot of work and money. I've done inventory in a comic store....it still gives me nightmares. With all the extra sales, they have to pay that much less in inventory tax.
