FREE FISH AND CLAMS!!!

This really snuck up on me this weekend and I've already missed one clam tide, but THIS WEEKEND (June 12 and 13) is the one weekend a year where you can go fishing and clam digging in Washington State for FREE!!! No license required!

I can think of at least 3 different families/people on my Friends List here who should be VERY interested in this!

It's so easy! You walk along the beach at low tide, looking for little holes that squirt water when you step near them. Then you start digging just a few feet down (no more than 2 feet I'd say) and find clams! Dig a trench from your original hole and find MORE clams! Then repeat till you have your limit :)

This ime of year what we're going to find most are Butter Clams, Horse Clams and Steamers. Butters are god for frying, Horse are good for chowder and Steamers are good for, well... steaming.
