Bought Pancake Syrup at The Dollar Store, they had two versions of the same brand; "Regular" and "Lite". The "Lite" version proudly proclaimed "HALF THE CALORIES PER SERVING AS OUR REGULAR PANCAKE SYRUP!"

Both bottles were the same size, same price, so I flipped 'em over to examine the Nutritional Information. On the regular, Calories per Serving was 80. On the "Lite" the Calories per Serving were 40. Exact same ingredients (mostly corn syrup, of course), and really the only difference I found between the two bottles?

Serving size for the "Regular": 2 TBSP. Serving size for the "Lite": 1 TBSP.

THIS IS GENIUS! How do we sell syrup in this new health-conscious world? We certainly can't tell the customers "Try using less Syrup, tubby!"

Now I would have been REALLY impressed had the "Regular" bottle been marketed as the "Jumbo Economy Size" with "Twice as many servings as found in our 'Lite' Syrup!"
