Too late, need to force myself in to bed... but the highlights reel of my Emerald City Comic Con experience:
I'll probably expand on at least a few of those points later...
- Got interviewed by and quoted in The Seattle Times!
- Impressed geeks with my "Posse" of Teenage Girl Star Trek Fans!
- Excused myself from the Dwayne McDuffie Memorial Panel because I was uncontrollably sobbing!
- Had a real "Santa Claus" moment with a bunch of 5-to-7-year-old kids!
- Impressed Johnathan Frakes with my suggestion for his proposed Sci-Fi Sitcom!
- Had a semi-long conversation with local talk radio personality BJ Shea!
- Adopted a second non-blood Niece!
- Had a GREAT conversation with Sergio Aragones!
- Pimped the HECK out of Neal Bailey's Cura Te Ipsum web comic!
- Hated the damn music the damn kids were blasting in the big conference room along with Tina!
- Didn't officially see The Buffy Sing-A-Long because it didn't actually happen because we didn't have clearance from Fox and we didn't all have an AWESOME TIME not singing along because, like I said, it never happened, and we all just stood in a room together in silence for about an hour!
- Finally met
aurora77 and followed through with exactly ZERO of my plans to take advantage of round-robin seat-saving!
- Made two mistakes in judgement re: which panels to attend. However, every other decision of the convention was dead-on PERFECT!
- Ate so many free SoyJoy Snack Bars that I wanted to SoyPuke!
- John Munn of Comic Book Ink provided me with an instant collection of Buffy and Angel comics at the excellent last-minute-of-the-con price of just 25-cents per book!
- Met teenage girls dressed up as Bill & Ted!
- Bought the head of a Cyberman!
- Bought a Delorean!
- Got to just walk around my favorite convention with my favorite wife!
I'll probably expand on at least a few of those points later...
