Trying to cross-post this to all my various Social Media sites in the ways most suited to each one, see which one gets the most responses...

This thought spawned from the fact that despite writers having covered every single little tiny nook and cranny of The Batman's life (including The Future and several alternate timelines), NONE OF THEM have dared to tackle young Bruce Wayne's happy childhood before his parents were slain.

...or HAVE they???

RICHIE RICH COMICS ARE THE PREQUEL BATMAN COMICS!!!

Think about it... fabulously wealthy parents, adventurous heroic spirit, a penchant for gadgets and gizmos, umpteen bazillion hands-on lessons of how to tell right from wrong... IT'S ALL THERE!

My mind, she is officially *blown*!

Look at Richie Rich, look at Casper... huge head, tiny body... it's been widely accepted that Casper is the ghost of Richie Rich doomed to an eternity of trying to find friends without the aid of his wealth or beauty. I thought EVERYBODY knew that!

Edit: my boyfriend argued that Richie Rich's name is Richie not Bruce and therefore the statement is wrong.

I offered maybe "richie rich" was a bully's nickname for him that Bruce's parents adopted, to take the hurt out of the bully's words.

Wait - so your boyfriend really believes that a super-rich family would publish a comic book about the personal life and exploits of their only child who is constantly the target of kidnapping and extortion schemes, and then use the REAL NAMES of those involved?!?!? "Richie Rich" is the code-name assigned to young Bruce by his secret service bodyguards, of course! And "Cadbury" is the code name for Alfred. Actual names have been changed to protect the innocent :)
