Poll #2: Best of 1981

Same rules as the last one; choose your Top 5 favorites from this year. This is going to be a hard one for me, lots of classics and personal favorites... so hard to choose! BTW, this is the first appearance of The Smurfs. If you don't vote for them THIS time, you'll get at least one other chance (season 2 when they added Johan and Peewee, season 4 when they add Baby Smurf, and season 8 when they add The Smurflings, I think)

Technically, this is the first AMERICAN appearance of the Smurfs. They appeared in Europe somewhere around the mid to late 70's. Courtesy (kind of) of a REALLY annoying childrens song.

The song was guaranteed to drive parents insane because children could easily remember it and constantly sang it. The majority of the song consisted of 'La la lala la la la la'...I kid you not. To make matters worse......the song was played over the airwaves by mainstream (european) radio stations.

Somewhere, (i refuse to go looking for it), there is no doubt, a YouTube clip that could be found. Just....resist the urge. It is far, far, FAR worse than the beer bottle song, or the bunnies in the bed rolling over song. It is insidious.
