What would YOU do?

We are going to Disneyland for Molly's 6th Birthday this year (third year running WOO!) because things have happened to make it irresponsible of us to NOT go there. Namely, a FREE WEEK AT THE GRAND CALIFORNIAN thanks to my Brother and his time share! So here's the information you need to know:

• Molly's Birthday is on January 29th, an absolute PERFECT time to go to the park because all the attractions are just coming off of their refurbishment and holiday season overlay removal, plus it's the week before the official "Spring Break" season so the park is extremely under-crowded. Last year we were able to WALK ON TO SPACE MOUNTAIN, I kid you not!
  
• The week of January 29th is not available to us for the free week of Grand Californian. We can have either January 21st till January 27th, or the week of February 11 to February 17th.
  
• If we go the week in January, we get to have the room all to ourselves
  
• If we go in February, we share the room with my Brother and his family (wife and two teenage daughters)
  
• We love my Brother and his family and we'd love to spend the week with them, but our natural preference is to be alone
  
• If we go in January, there's a very good chance that many attractions will still be closed in order to remove the holiday overlay (last year we missed one day of Haunted Mansion and 3 days of It's A Small World to holiday overlay removal)
  
• If we go in February we risk running in to the first wave of "Spring Break" crowds as well as any crowds brought in by Valentine's Day
  
• If we go in February, we get to be in Disneyland on a HOLIDAY!!!
  
• If we go in February, Molly's Spring Break becomes TWO WEEKS instead of just one (Spring Break for her school is the week after Valentine's Day)
  
• If we go in February, Molly can have a regular Birthday Party with all her little friends!

I think I'm pretty much set on February as our week to go, but for some reason I'm still torn... when would YOU choose to go?

I'm pretty picky about not sharing my personal space. I've tried it and it doesn't work out well. I'd pick January.

My last 2 times were in January and February. January definitely has the smaller crowds. I had lines in February but not as bad as Christmas and Summer crowds. You will not be able to walk onto Space Mountain in February like January. I'd have to say the deciding factor for you should really be how well Molly gets along with her older cousins.

We were in Disneyland last February around (and on) Valentine's Day. I will say that the parks were a bit more crowded than I was anticipating but not horrible by any stretch of the imagination. It also rained one of the days we were there. Other than that, it was a great time to go. My personal choice would be to go alone as I get cranky when I feel like I have to schedule things around other people and/or don't get enough quiet time away from travel companions (I'm not including my own family in this observation). But, really, either way would be great because you'll be in DISNEYLAND!!!!1111 OMG! This trip we'll be going the week after Thanksgiving and I CANNOT WAIT!

I was gonna tell you that I would come too if you invited me...I don't wanna be the fourth wheel in your family vacation...but it would be fun to go with y'all.

After reading this post I won't say any of that.

You're always welcome to just happen to schedule your own trip and accidentally bump in to us over and over again :)
