Confused Weather Kitty

captain_slinkyOur cat is NOT happy with the schizophrenic weather we've been having in the last 48 hours. It's been intermittent beautiful sunshine and soul-drenching downpours.
Joey (our cat) just stands at the door, bellowing that guttural "MrrrrrOWH" that cats usually reserve for emergencies like "Somebody locked me in the bathroom again because I was being Ninja-Kitty and you didn't notice me slip in to hide behind the shower curtain" or "Somebody obviously replaced the hole in my Kitty House with a smaller one because now I am stuck and I know that I'm not THAT fat" or "You feed me every night at 8pm, but it is now 7:45pm and you aren't even getting ready to feed me". Y'know, EMERGENCIES.
OMG! As I am typing this, I just discovered why he's Emergency Meowing! During the downpours, EVERY CAT IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD (about 5 cats in all) is using our covered car port as their shelter! Makes sense, since our car port has quick-and-easy access to the large grove of bushes and trees out back - none of the other car ports are so close to the Jungle Fortress Battle Arena (I swear, that little grove is like THUNDERDOME for those cats)!
LOL HERE THEY GO AGAIN! We just had a sunburst, al the cats left, Joey calmed down... now it's raining again and here come the cats!
"I challenge you, Mister Whiskers! I'm calling you out! For the honor of my beloved Missus Puss-Puss whom you have defiled in a manner so base and uncouth, I shall have justice! Come to the center of the arena and I shall eviscerate you with my claws and chew at you with my vicious fangs till you are no more! You have wronged me and mine, sir, and I demand satisfaction! COME OUT, YOU COWA- Whoa, hang on... rain? RAAAAAAIN!!! RUN FOR IT!!!"
