This week, our Game Night will be forever changed as we know it.

First of all, no D&D on Friday Night because dude that's WATCHMEN NIGHT!!! I'll be hitting the Alderwood Regal Stadium 7 (that's the one across the street from the Mall with the big comfy seats, not the one in the Mall parking lot with the "But uf we sacrifice comfort we can cram another 40 people in this room" seating) for the 4pm showing and won't be getting home till some time after 8. 'Cuz that's how you roll when you go see a 3-hour Super Hero EPIC, dawg!

So our next Gaming Night will be on SATURDAY, MARCH 14th. You heard me... Saturday. This will make it MUCH easier for people to get here without having to fight Friday Night Rush-Hour Traffic, and also opens things up nicely for if we want to do any BBQing over the course of the Summer. I'm flexible on start-time, but figure that any time after 2pm on Saturday.

Also, in the interest of giving all y'all a bit of your life back, I suggest that we make this a MONTHLY affair instead of Bi-Weekly.

SO! IN SUMMATION! The Knights of The Sacred Slinky shall from here on forward meet on the SECOND SATURDAY of EACH MONTH for feast, merriment and lusty bold adventure. It'll be a Pot-Luck Affair. Many games will be played, not the least of which will be a rousing series of "Done-In-One" interlinked adventures. Other games to be considered will be Munchkin, Zombies, Robo Rally and whatever else we can get our grubby little hands on.

Sound good? Any thoughts on the matter? Opinions? Suggestions?

Oh, also? If you can read this, you're invited :)

I wish it wasn't a 14 hour drive to get there.... So how do you do a D&D kinda game in one night?

it's a lot easier with D&D 4th Edition than it has been in the past. I've run a bunch of 'em for folks so far while just learning the mechanics of the game. I figure that levels 1-3 are gonna be all about building "The Team" with simple "A kid is missing and his mother wants you to check out the old abandoned keep to see if he's there" type of things... then stuff they did while getting up to third level will come back to bite 'em when the BIG campaign starts :)

Websites are... hmmmm... I've never relied on them so much for my adventures. The new Dungeon masters Guide 2 (which either just hit stores or is about to hit stores) is FULL of little adventures though!

Magazines are usually a good place to find tiny adventures... "Knights Of The Dinner Table" used to always have a good adventure in each issue!
